JobMagnet is a safe space for people who want to change their careers and an enabler for development. We provide specialized and free support (funded by Agentur für Arbeit) for women, mothers, those returning from parental leave, individuals with a migration history, social movers, and members of the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities.

Here are the key 7 points about our coaching program:

The easiest way is to be registered as job-seeking or unemployed at the Agentur für Arbeit/Jobcenter and receive an AVGS voucher from your caseworker. We are happy to assist you in applying for a voucher.
The Activation and Placement Voucher (Aktivierungs- und Vermittlungsgutschein or AVGS in German) is a measure provided by the German Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit). This voucher is designed to assist job seekers in improving their prospects in the labor market.
The AVGS allows individuals to access various measures such as further education, training, coaching, or job application training. The aim is to promote the occupational integration of job seekers, enhance their skills and qualifications, and thereby increase their chances of finding employment.
Job seekers can obtain the AVGS from their job center or employment agency if they meet certain criteria. Once issued, the voucher is then passed on to education and qualification providers who conduct the corresponding measures.
An Activation and Placement Voucher (AVGS) is a discretionary service provided by the Employment Agency or Job Center.
People from following groups have the highest likelihood to receive an AVGS:
- Individuals receiving ALG I or II benefits (best chances to get a voucher)
- Individuals returning to the workforce after an extended period of absence or illness
Register online at the Agentur für Arbeit or the Jobcenter. You can register as job-seeking three months before the end of your employment.
Send a message to your caseworker and ask for an AVGS for job coaching. You’re welcome to mention us as the preferred provider.

Before your coaching process begins, you can get to know 1-2 of our coaches to see if there is a professional and interpersonal fit between you. We will do our best, but we cannot guarantee that your preferred coach will be available.
You will need a PC or laptop with a webcam and microphone. These can also be integrated, as is the case with many devices nowadays. A headset is desirable as it significantly improves audio quality.
Our job coaching program is designed for eight weeks. However, your individual process duration depends on the number of the coaching units you received from your caseworker.
If you havent’t recieved a voucher yet, we are happy to help you request it (see “How do I request an AVGS voucher?”).
The learning platform is an essential add-on to your journey with your coach. It includes videos, exercises, tips, and templates. The aim is to provide you with an additional resource that enables you to learn at your own pace and whenever it fits your schedule during your coaching with us.
